Report something you should not have seen
Dialed filters your Instagram feed, but it will sometimes miss something. There are two different things you can do, and they do different jobs.
To get a post taken down, report it to Instagram. Instagram hosts the post, so Instagram is the only party who can remove it. Dialed does not modify Instagram's own controls: open the post's ··· menu and choose Report, exactly as you would in Instagram's own app. Dialed cannot remove, edit or report content on Instagram's behalf, and we will never tell you we have.
To stop it reaching you again, tell Dialed. Add the account to your Never show list, or add the topic to the list of things you do not want to see. Both are in the Dialed menu.
To tell us our filter failed, write to support@usedialed.app and include what you saw and roughly when. You do not need to send us the post. If it is something our filter should have caught, we want to know — that is how the filter gets better.
Anything involving a child, or intimate images shared without consent, is treated as the highest priority, worked immediately, and reported to the authorities where the law requires it.
Subscriptions, cancelling and refunds
- Cancel in iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Dialed. Cancelling keeps your subscription running until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel through Settings first.
- Restore a purchase on a new phone with Restore purchases, on the Dialed paywall or in the Dialed menu under Account.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — we cannot issue or reverse one. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Free trial. If you started one, cancel before it ends and you are not charged. Apple emails you before a trial converts.
Your data
Dialed keeps your settings and activity on your phone and operates no server that holds anything you read. There is no Dialed account, and we never ask for your email to use the app.
So there is usually nothing for us to look up, export or delete — but if you have a question, or want the anonymous purchase record associated with your installation deleted, write to support@usedialed.app. Where the law sets a shorter deadline than the times above, it applies: a GDPR or UK GDPR request is answered within one month.
The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Common questions
Why is nothing being filtered? Three things have to be true. Topic filtering needs Apple Intelligence on your iPhone, and it needs an active subscription. It also needs you to have chosen at least one topic, or blocked at least one account. Removing whole sections of Instagram works without any of that.
Why did a post I wanted get hidden? Dialed judges a post by the text on it. A post whose caption says nothing about its subject is a post Dialed cannot read correctly. Open the Dialed menu and look at Filtered out — it shows what was hidden, why, and the exact caption the filter read.
Will using Dialed affect my Instagram account? Dialed never posts, likes, comments or messages for you. You are signed in to Instagram's own pages, and your use of Instagram stays governed by Instagram's terms. We cannot promise Instagram will permit third-party clients, and you use Dialed with your account at your own risk — see section 4 of the Terms of Service.
Is Dialed made by Instagram? No. Dialed is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
